SUSTAINABILITY INDEX OF THE MEXICAN STOCK EXCHANGE

The Sustainability Index was created 5 years ago as part of the Mexican Stock Exchange Index, resulting from the global trend that led companies to begin to assess their social and environmental impact, in addition to their economic growth.

The general goal of the Sustainability Index of the Mexican Stock Exchange is to assess companies based on public information that describes their best practices in terms of society, the environment, and corporate governance.

A maximum of 30 companies are chosen annually by applying three filters: the first two are assessed by a specialized, external organism based on international criteria. The Mexican Stock Exchange uses the third filter to validate this information.
