Have you heard of "stakeholder groups"?

Stakeholder groups are the audiences that impact an organization and its environment.

Previously, companies only pursued their own interests, seeing themselves as purely economic entities with utilitarian purposes. Over time, it has become increasingly important to include new actors and establish new rules of engagement between organizations and their stakeholders.

Currently, the population has become much more aware of the goods and services produced by any company, how they are produced, the relationships they have with their suppliers, their environmental behavior, and how they manage their human capital. This influences the decision to use and, above all, to purchase such goods or services.

But do you know exactly who the stakeholder groups are and what relationship they have with our company?

According to the Sustainability Guide of the Mexican Stock Exchange (BMV), stakeholder groups are the set of parties that directly or indirectly impact the organization's activities and may represent social or environmental interests or concerns, having the ability to positively or negatively affect the company's results.

Therefore, identifying these audiences, along with their needs and expectations, helps incorporate sustainable strategy into different areas of the organization and its environment. It also facilitates the measurement of social and environmental impacts, helps identify areas of opportunity when reducing risks, improves corporate reputation, and even generates new business opportunities.

In essence, stakeholder groups have a significant impact and relevance on the company's operations, and the company operates thanks to its audiences. Within these groups, for Vesta, we find: suppliers, customers, employees, strategic allies, investors, community, authorities, opinion leaders, analysts, and bankers, among others.

Finally, how do you think these stakeholder groups can positively or negatively impact Vesta's results?
